OUR PROGRAM
OUR PROGRAM
Skill Building Opportunities:
We offer a range of individualized opportunities designed to provide high school age students in San Francisco with an understanding of motorcycle mechanics and riding safety. We are invested in supporting workforce development and skill building that may support future careers in mechanics.
1.Our motorcycle basics area of focus includes: introducing students to the fundamental principles of motorcycle mechanics and safety. Participants will learn the essential components of a motorcycle, the basic maintenance, and proper riding gear.
2. Our advanced techniques area is designed for students who have mastered the basics and are ready to take their mechanics skills to the next level. Students will learn more technical skills in mechanics, having an opportunity to work on their own bikes, and/or help beginning students master their skills.
3. Our riding safety skills component emphasizes the importance of responsible riding behaviors and practices.
4. Our customization workshop offers students the opportunity to unleash their creativity and technical skills by customizing their own motorcycles. This hands-on program allows participants to explore design concepts, fabrication techniques, and the art of personalizing motorcycles to reflect individual styles.
TESTIMONIALS
"What I admire most about the BRAAP program is the autonomy that seems to be given to the students. My son feels so empowered and trusted that it has translated into a very high level of respect for both Mr. Higginbotham and Ms. Warner. This sentiment is not necessarily commonplace with other authority figures in his academic life. I like that the rules for the course are laid out in a clear and concise manner and that safety is such a stressed factor of the course."
